In this post, i will be reviewing the features of the Pokémon Go game and also telling you about ways you can enjoy gaming. This user engagement game allows you travel between the real and virtual world all at a go. Here is how it works.
A review of Pokémon user engagement; Virtual VS Real world
With the Pokémon Go for both iPhone and Android devices, you will discover Pokémon in a whole new world. Pokémon GO is built on Niantic’s real world gaming platform and uses real locations to encourage players to search far and wide in the real world to discover Pokémon.
Pokémon GO allows you to find and catch more than a hundred species of Pokémon as you explore your surroundings.
Step out into your neighbourhood with your phones and discover the excitement this game has to offer. As you move around with your Smartphone, it will vibrate to let you know you are near a Pokémon. Once you encounter a Pokémon, take aim on your Smartphone’s touch screen and throw a Poké Ball to catch it.

Make sure you target the Pokémon properly to avoid missing your throw which will enable its escape.
Also look for PokéStops located at interesting places, such as public art installations, historical markers, and monuments, where you can collect more Poké Balls and other items to help you capture more Pokémon’s.
As a first time player, you have the leverage of customising and choosing apparels and accessories for your trainer. Your customised character will appear as you move around and in addition, other players will see your character when they visit a Gym you control.
To attain a higher level on the game, your trainer is expected to succeed in all the levels in other to gain more strength and tools to enable him surmount the next level.
For every Pokémon you conquer, they will be added to your Pokédex thereby increasing your level as you continue to explore the game, you will find more Pokémon’s you have never seen before. How exciting can this get!

When you are around your area, there might be some regular Pokémon’s you will encounter but in certain areas, be sure to encounter some strange Pokémon’s.
These Pokémon’s vary location to location; for example, there are Pokémon’s by the water, lakes, streams, mountain etc. Be assured of having your phone beep by the second.
Another interesting feature of this user engagement game is if you catch the same species of Pokémon enough times, you can evolve one of them. This is useful for catching Pokémon’s you are having a tough time finding in the wild.
The battle squad
At a certain point in the game, you will be asked to join one of three teams. Once you join a team, you therefore gain the ability to assign a Pokémon you have caught to open Gym locations or to a Gym where a team member has assigned a Pokémon.
Like PokéStops, Gyms can be found at real locations in the world. Each player can place only one Pokémon at a particular Gym, so you’ll need to work together with other members of your team to build up a strong defence.
If a rival team has claimed a Gym, you can challenge it by using Pokémon’s you’ve caught to battle the defending Pokémon. Battles are challenging and fun.
This user engagement game allows you choose which of your Pokémon will be battling the rival Pokémon from another team. In the course of event, each Pokémon has two attacks, and can also dodge the defending Pokémon’s attacks if you swipe left or right.

Once your team has control of the Gym, team members can increase the Gym’s Prestige and level by battling the defending Pokémon. These training battles against your own team helps your Pokémon level up as well.
As the Gym gets to a higher level, your team can assign more Pokémon to defend it.
You can also team up with your friends and battle a rival Gym together to take down stronger Gyms faster. how user engaging can this get!
You can tackle a wide variety of challenges in different categories, such as catching Pokémon and exploring. By completing these challenges, you’ll unlock achievement medals that will appear in your player profile. Try to unlock as many medals as you can!
How business owners are leveraging Pokémon to sell
In the United States and other countries where Pokemon Go is available, businesses have been able to boost sales in reference to this user engagement game. Some shop owners have discounted prices for certain teams.

Hence, if your on that team, you can be sure to catch a cup of coffee with team members at a discounted price while planning on the next strategic move to conquer a rival team and collect their Gym’s.
Also, some stores and individuals are now using the Pokémon craze to their own advantage for profit making. They sell features that will enable trainer’s subdue Pokémon’s without having to stress themselves and also other needful materials like luminous badge for people to identify Pokémon Go players at night. Smart business strategies!

This portable device called the Pokémon GO plus will enable Pokémon GO players to enjoy the game even while they are not looking at their Smartphone’s.
The device connects to a Smartphone via Bluetooth and notifies the player about events in the game—such as the appearance of a Pokémon nearby—using an LED and vibration. In addition, players can catch Pokémon or perform other simple actions by pressing the button on the device.
Another really interesting thing about the game is that you can turn on the camera feature on your phone when you encounter a wild Pokémon. This feature enables you capture the moment into the live scene with the in-game camera and with this, you can snap photos and share on any social media platform.

For players who want to explore and enhance their Pokémon Go, certain features are designed for you to access via in app purchasing; meaning players can spend real currency on the PokeCoins to exchange money for items that will enhance their chances of scaling certain levels.
According to the developers, the user engagement; Pokémon Go will be very similar to Ingress in play-style, and, while the developers aim to ensure that a player can walk out of their house and encounter a wild Pokémon within 5 minutes, it may not be the rarest Pokémon in the world.

Like Niantic’s previous project, Pokémon GO will host a number of events in order to allow players to trade the Pokémon from their regions with those found in faraway locations. This is due to the fact that a player cannot collect all the Pokémon’s except he takes time off to travel the world.
The game is free for download from release date being July 2016 at no charge on App stores and Google play store. This user engagement master mind was successfully executed by Google, the Pokémon Company and Nintendo who together gave in $30 million into the development of the game.
The initial plan of the company was to make the game available in all parts of the world after one week from the initial release date but after the first trial, over ten million people tried to download the game which led to an overload of the server.
The Pokémon Go development team has gone back to the drawing board to rectify this unforeseen problem. Due to this, the game is yet to be available in Nigeria, let’s keep our fingers crossed.
This is a worldwide project and has sure taken over the game and imagery niche. I cant wait for it to roll out in Nigeria and i’m sure you cant either.
Do you know of any other game that has this level of user engagement and has the ability to generate revenue for brick and mortar businesses? Let me know your thoughts in the comment box below.
